Sweepstakes Summary Description
The AT&T Free Web-Based Seminar Sweepstakes is offered in and open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia ("U.S."), 18 and older, and runs from 12:01 am CST on 05/01/08 to 11:59 pm CST on 05/15/08. One (1) Grand Prize consisting of a free, 1-hour consultation with Small Business Consultant, Bill Collier, his autographed book, How to Succeed as a Small Business Owner and Still Have a Life, and a $10 Starbucks gift card will be awarded. Twenty (20) Second Prizes of Bill Collier’s autographed book, How to Succeed as a Small Business Owner and Still Have a Life, and a $10 Starbucks gift card, will be awarded. A random drawing to determine potential winners will take place on or about 06/01/08. Potential winners will be notified by email. Winners are responsible for payment of taxes on prizes and for any expenses not specified herein. A copy of the Winners List is available (1) by visiting http://smallbiz.att.com/community/webseminars or (2) by mailing a request for a list of winners along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (“SASE”) to AT&T Free Web-Based Seminar Sweepstakes Winners List, 675 W Peachtree Street NW, Rm: 30B06, Atlanta, GA 30375. Requests sent via mail must be received on or before 05/15/08.
Methods of Entry.
Individuals may enter in either of two ways: (1) Automatically when they both register and attend the AT&T Free Web-Based Seminar, "Put Your Business to Work…For You!" presented by Bill Collier and narrowcast at 1pm CST on 05/15/08 via http://smallbiz.att.com/community/webseminars; or (2) by hand printing on a 3” x 5” postcard their name, address, telephone number, email address, and the words "AT&T Free Web-Based Seminar Sweepstakes" and mailing the postcard with first-class postage to: AT&T Free Web-Based Seminar Sweepstakes Entry, 675 W Peachtree Street NW, Rm: 30B06, Atlanta, GA 30375. Postcard entries must be postmarked on or before 05/15/08 and received on or before 05/22/08. There is a limit of one entry per person, regardless of the method of entry.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase will not increase your chance of winning. Sweepstakes is offered only in the 50 United States and District of Columbia ("U.S.") and is void where prohibited.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Sweepstakes begins 05/01/08 at 12:01 am CST and ends 05/15/08 at 11:59 pm CST.
ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal U.S. residents, 18 or older. Directors, officers, and employees of AT&T, entities involved in the development, administration, or promotion of this Sweepstakes, or any affiliate of the foregoing entities, and the immediate family (spouse, parents, children, and siblings, and in-laws) and members of the households of any such individual are not eligible.
FREE SEMINAR: AT&T Free Web-Based Seminar: "Put Your Business to Work…For You!" on 05/15/08 at 1pm CST will be offered at: http://smallbiz.att.com/community/webseminars.
Eligible individuals who register and attend the event on May 15, 2008 will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes.
PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV): One (1) Grand Prize: 1 Hour Free Consultation with Small Business Consultant, Bill Collier [ARV$249.99] his autographed book, How to Succeed as a Small Business Owner and Still Have a Life. [ARV$24.95] and a $10 Starbucks Gift Card [ARV$10.00] Twenty (20) Second Prizes: Bill Collier's autographed book, How to Succeed as a Small Business Owner and Still Have a Life [ARV$24.95] and a $10 Starbucks Gift Card [ARV$10.00].
ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of eligible entries submitted.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Winners are responsible for payment of all taxes on prizes and for any costs not specified relating to the acceptance and use of a prize. No prize transfer. No cash or other prize substitution except by Sponsor who reserves right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value in the event the listed prize is unavailable.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By participating, entrants agree: (a) to these Official Rules; and (b) to release, indemnify and hold harmless Bill Collier, Collier Business Advisors, LLC, Rodgers Townsend, together with AT&T, its affiliates and their respective directors, officers and employees from any claim, damages or liability resulting from the entrants' participation in the Sweepstakes, acceptance of a prize, or use of a prize. By accepting a prize, each winner agrees the use by AT&T of his/her name and likeness, without compensation or prior review or approval. Winners will provide written consent to such use if AT&T so requests. By participating, entrants acknowledge that no representation or warranty has been made with respect to the prizes, whether express or implied.
AT&T reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who (a) tampers with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or associated web site; (b) violates the web site's Terms of Service; (c) violates the Official Rules; or (d) acts in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed, third party, or like entry methods will void all related entries. In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same email account, the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the Sweepstakes at the actual time of registration, will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these rules. The authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the pertinent email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization which is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Sponsor may prosecute any fraudulent activities to the full extent of the law. Decisions of Sponsor relating to the Sweepstakes are final and binding. Sponsor.
GENERAL : AT&T and its affiliates, Bill Collier, Collier Business Advisors, LLC, Rodgers Townsend, and their respective representatives are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (a) electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind or human error relating to any aspect of the Sweepstakes; (b) failed, incomplete, garbled, lost or delayed email or computer transmissions; (c) lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or illegible entries or mail or postage due mail; or (d) any condition, whatever the cause, that may cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the Sweepstakes or any portion thereof should viruses, bugs, technical difficulties, suspected or actual electronic tampering or other causes corrupt or interfere with the administration, integrity, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes. Notice of any such termination or suspension will be posted on the web site relating to this Sweepstakes. Prizes will be awarded by random drawing from among eligible entries received prior to the events that gave rise to such termination. Sponsor and its affiliates, and their respective representatives are not responsible for any errors, misprints or typographical mistakes in any printed or electronic advertising of the Sweepstakes.
ARBITRATION/CHOICE OF LAW: Entrants agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, or the determination of the winner shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by arbitration pursuant to the Rules of the American Arbitration Association then in effect, and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred in entering this Sweepstakes but in no event attorney's fees or expenses. Entrants shall in no event be entitled to punitive, incidental or consequential damages. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and AT&T in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflicts of law principles, and all proceedings shall take place in Bexar County, Texas.
